Jen Sews! - Owl Stuffie

We'll just pretend I didn't swear the whole time I was sewing this. ;)
Owl Stuffie
I finished up this little guy (girl? it is covered in flowers) while Cody was in Florida this weekend. I really like it. Although when I look at it all I see are my mistakes and terrible sewing skills. Honestly, I just don't think I'll ever be good at sewing. Oh well. I just adore the brown baby wale corduroy and ric-rac, and the prints are Heidi Grace fabrics.

I also made a really cool wreath out of brown paper bags cut into scalloped circles. Usually when I see something someone has made and want to make my own of, I change things on it so it's more me, but when I saw this girls wreath I loved everything about it and basically copied it all the way down to the color of the flowers. I haven't been able to get a good photo of mine yet, but it's pretty much the same. It was both easy and more work than it looks somehow too. When I finished the wreath I used the leftover paper bag bits to make this little puffball flower. It's pretty cute too.

If you're friends with Cody on FB make sure you go see the pictures he took of the Hemingway cats. I love all the toes! They're like mittens!

The owl turned out very adorable! I love corduroy & ric rac too.

(Every time you think you're not very good at sewing, just multiply that by 15 or so & you've got my ability to sew!)

The cow you made for Em years ago out of felt is still surviving. She sleeps with it every night. That is a testament to your sewing!
